Richard Strauss, MBA, CPA
Richard is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY with a BA in
Economics as well as Baruch College (City University of New York) with
an MBA in Accountancy.
Rich's 20 years of experience in public accounting includes firms ranging in size from 4 people to "Big Five" where he worked at Ernst & Whinney prior to its merger with Arthur Young. Over the years he has worked with clients in many industries including professional services, retail, hotels, restaurants, contractors, real estate professionals, advertising, sports agents, professional athletes, manufacturing and many others.
In addition to managing the firm and handling a full caseload, Rich reviews all the work done by the professional staff and consults regularly with his clients to help them improve their businesses and/or finances. He also does a lot of work with trusts and in financial and estate planning.
Rich lives in Manalapan, NJ with his wife, Eve, and his two daughters, Jenna and Amy. His hobbies include spending time with his family, reading and golf. In addition, he is the bass player in the classic rock band 40 WiNX.
Jennnifer Tejeda
Jennifer has been with Kaduson, Strauss & Co. since January, 1997
when she graduated from Rider University. She earned a Bachelor of Science
in Business Administration.
Jennifer's varied workload includes preparing financial statements and tax returns for our business clients, raising issues and planning ideas based on that preparation and assisting the other staff members as questions arise.
Linda Burch
Linda brings many years of experience to our firm. She has been working
with business and individual clients with all aspects of their accounting
and tax needs.
Marybeth Pike
Marybeth has been with Kaduson, Strauss & Co. since January of 1999.
She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Behavioral
& Social Sciences. She works with both business and individual clients.
Patricia Zafian
Pat is a relative newcomer to our firm. She is working on all aspects
of the accounting services we provide and is currently in the process
of sitting for the CPA examination.
Ed Carter
Ed has his own accounting practice and he also works with Kaduson, Strauss
& Co. on certain long time clients, for which he has a special expertise.
These clients include non-profit organizations and a number of our individual
clients. His background is a varied one and he is a valuable part of our
team.
Vivek (Vick) Verma, CPA
Vick also has his own accounting practice. He works with Kaduson, Strauss
& Co. on certain clients and on an as-needed basis. Vick's experience
is varied, and includes working with a wide variety of industries.
In the mid 1980s William (Bill) Kaduson started the firm. He left Ernst & Whinney to practice on his own in large part so he could have the flexibility to be a part of his children's lives while they were young. This "family" outlook is still an important part of the way we operate. We treat staff and clients like they are part of the Kaduson, Strauss & Co. family.
Richard is a Certified Public Accountant in both New Jersey and New York. In addition, he has earned the Certificate of Educational Achievement in Taxation from the AICPA and has completed the College of Financial Planning of Denver coursework required to sit for the Certified Financial Planner exam.
Rich is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), New York State Society of CPAs, National Society of Accountants, National Society of Tax Practitioners and Mercer County Chamber of Commerce.
